The Maker
Steph Cao is a ceramicist who creates handmade pieces out of her studio in Seattle, WA. Her work is inspired by natural elements and mid-century modern design. The clay pot she made at five years old sparked an interest in working with her hands and her passion for ceramics bloomed during her first college studio class. Steph has a BFA in Architecture + Design, and a minor in Studio Arts with an emphasis in ceramics. When Steph is not at the wheel, she loves trying to bake bread, tending to all the plants, and hanging with her dog, Ken.
The Pieces
All pieces are wheel thrown or occasionally hand-built. They are microwave and oven safe. As with all handmade goods, each is unique and carry it's own character. They are functional ceramics that are meant to be practical as well as beautiful for everyday use.
